My case was for Canada Pension Disability Benefits.

Mr. Shanfield was very professional, yet made my husband & myself feel so at ease the first time we meet with him. He is very thorough & pays attention to every detail of the case. I totally trusted him to represent me. Whenever I called his staff (including him) they always took the time to explain every concern I had.

Mr. Shanfield represented me at the tribunal hearing with reports from all my medical people & made my witnesses & myself feel very confident that day.

Mr. Shanfield also made a personal telephone call to my home before Christmas to advise me of the status of my case. He went out of his way & beyond the call to represent me.

My case was successful because of his staff & he worked hard with professionalism & dedication.

I would highly recommend other clients to Mr. Shanfield & his staff.

In 2002, I was severely injured while riding my 21 speed bicycle when I was chased and upended from my bike by two dogs. I suffered fractures to my elbows, wrist injuries, a toe which was broken in two places, nerve damage to my arms, ankle and neck injuries, along with many scrapes and
bruises.

My first meeting with Mr. Shanfield and his staff was very comfortable and I felt at ease talking to him about what happened and about my injuries.
He explained to me the basics of a lawsuit of this kind and I was confident that justice would be served when I began to see the thorough
investigating and commitment that was put into my case by him and his staff.

He hired experts such as doctors and financial consultants to come up with an educated and realistic settlement for my injuries. Throughout it
all, I was greatly impressed with the quality of care I received from Mr. Shanfield and his staff and the attention to each detail of my case. I felt that he left no stone unturned, was easy to talk to, and very easy to listen to. I felt that he was my friend through all of it.

Through it all, my pain and suffering and worries were much easier to deal with and I would highly recommend the office of Stephen Shanfield to
anyone seeking a personal injury lawyer.

My husband and I had plans to travel to Toronto from the Windsor train station. Unfortunately, I was injured there, when I tripped over a conduit pipe left sticking out of the ground, where a sign had been removed. I shattered my wrist in the fall and had to undergo surgery to have six pins put in it. We notified the station-master about the injury immediately.
We contacted Mr. Shanfield by telephone and arranged to meet two weeks after my surgery. At our appointment, we were so impressed not only with the kindness shown by Mr. Shanfield and his office staff, but were surprised to see how organized they were already, on my case. Fortunately, they had gone to the site and taken pictures one week after the accident, because not long after my injury, the area had been repaired.
Mr. Shanfield spent quite a bit of time going over, with us, everything that happened and explained everything he was going to do. His knowledge of railroad law as well as Canadian law impressed us. He arranged for a Land Surveyor to determine who owned the land where I fell, and everything was explained to us, even in that process. As far as we were concerned, nothing was left out. We left feeling very confident.
Mr. Shanfield gave us an approximate timetable as to when this case could be completed and we couldn’t get over the fact that everything was just about on time. Through the weeks and months, we kept in touch by e-mail and letters. We were never left wondering about what was happening and we were very pleased with everything that was done for us.
My case was handled so well, that if we lived in Canada, he would be our #1 lawyer.

As U.K. citizens planning to stay in the U.S.A. for three weeks, it was overawing for my wife and myself to suddenly find that due to a serious hip injury resulting from a slip and fall accident occurring during a brief visit over the border to Canada, that I was to be in hospital in the U.S.A. for six weeks and then, only after a further three week period of rehabilitation, would I be fit to travel back to the U.K.

We had to face up to the fact that we were alone with just our own judgment and instincts to follow, and a short list of Canadian Lawyers in the Windsor region, handed to us by the wife of one of my hospital neighbours, who had kindly searched on the internet on our behalf.

Mr. Stephen Shanfield was one of the listed lawyers and at the time of our first phone call to his office, although Mr. Shanfield was away on business, his staff were the first to win our confidence with their initial interest and efficiency in establishing the details of our circumstances. On his return, Mr. Shanfield very quickly proved to us his dedication and attention to detail in wasting no time to attend the site of the accident, take photographs and make the necessary enquiries and investigations to be able to assess the legitimacy of our case and advise us accordingly. He, very soon, impressed us with his keen ability to source out additional supporting evidence essential to our case. His advice and recommendations were properly substantiated with detailed written documentation and consequently, a good working relationship was established between us. Once I was fit enough to travel, we were able to return to the U.K. in the knowledge that we had selected and employed the services of a very capable and reputable lawyer.

Mr. Shanfield continues to prove his professional ability by sourcing and recommending the most competent expert witnesses, where appropriate, and by keeping us fully informed of the progress of events. Consequently, we would have no hesitation in recommending Mr. Shanfield’s services to anyone who is seeking a reliable lawyer who gives the utmost attention to detail and demonstrates an excellent command of Canadian Law.
